Choose the finished size of a photo quilt, adjust its piece grid and tones, see its value map and fabrics, then explore a block quilt and turn its blocks.
About a minute, no sound. Recorded in the iPad simulator with QuiltPlay’s sample photo; edited for length, with the block segment shown faster than real time.
What happens in the video
Straight from your photo turns a vase at sunset into a quilt of rectangles and triangles, keeping the photo’s own colors.
Finished size changes from Throw to Queen, 90 × 100 inches. The piece grid and tone controls determine how much detail the photo keeps; some cells split into smaller pieces.
Start from the bones shows the same geometry as a value map, from light to dark.
See it in your fabrics reads that design through fabrics from the stash. Opening it in the Studio preserves its size, which also appears on the Quilt Card.
A block quilt opens: Block view shows the single pinwheel, Quilt view shows it repeated, and the layout dial adds a column and a row.
Turn blocks selects one block, rotates and flips it, then applies that facing to every block.
